After a good night's rest we have breakfast on a table that is permanently inhabited
by 2 Daytime
Geckos.
Both of them are still small (i saw one last year measuring about 25 centimeters)
and obviously they're still trainees: Every time a fly sits on the table they
put their heads up through the clefts of the table and stalk their pray, but
not once do they actually succeed in consuming one.
Jean Claude, who spend the night somewhere in Antalaha, picks us up to bring
us to the airport for our flight back to Tana. According to Lonely Planet, it's
only a 200 meter ride but the truth is that it's in fact 10 kilometers. Ain't
we happy we didn't decide to take our luggage and walk..
The flight arrives in time and in the afternoon we arrive in Tana.
This time we move into Hotel Radama. To reach our room we have
to climb numerous stairs, but the view from our room on Tana is
all worth it.
We have a drink in our favorite bar at Hotel de France where we meet 2 Americans
who work for the embassy. They recommend us restaurant Kudeta which is supposedly
even better than Le Rossini. Who are we to not check this fact? We pay a visit
to the internet cafe on Tana Plaza and stroll around a little. Strangely enough,
the more often you are in Tana, the more pleasant the city is. As long as you
ignore the begging children and cigarette sellers.
